No.11 Bjork - Medulla

Although by no means Bjork’s best album, Medulla’s exploration of the capabilities of the human voice is nonetheless a wonder to the ear. With collaborations from two other vocal pioneers, human beatbox Rahzel and human freakpot Mike Patton, this is an interesting, experimental record interspersed with little pop nuggets. Although it does feel like a good portion of the album is spent waiting for the ‘proper’ songs to come along, the raw beauty of Bjork’s voice, and the space it is given on this record, always seems to carry you effortlessly through.
