Cherryfalls
describe their music as "melodic" and "anthemic",
surely two words to strike the fear of God into the hearts of all sensible music
lovers.
It was clutching a stiff drink in our trembling hands, therefore, that
we gingerly fed this CD into the temperamental stereo - and at once all our fears
were confirmed. It's Coldplay, it's Keane, it's Snow Patrol, it's the latest
attempt of an A&R to cash in on that bafflingly popular brand of drippy acoustic-led
rock music for the sensitive yet boring young man in your life. "Somebody
stop me, somebody kill me," whines the singer. Somebody please take him
up on this offer before this frigging single is playing on a loop in Pizza Hut.
