| Usually when I’m sent anything to review which even slightly falls under the umbrella category of dance music, the results are little short of disastrous, and this outing proves to be no exception. |

So, let’s keep this brief and to the point, people; I’m sure we all want this to be over as quickly as possible. Bluntly, ‘Move Aside’ by Bugz in the Attic is a good record. I’m loath to try and describe the ruddy thing, as to do so would surely further highlight my own ignorance, but if pushed I would say it contains some quite interesting “beats”, and a nice vocal which I have been advised to describe as “old-skool b-girl”, courtesy of a Ms Bembe Segue, or so it says here. For some reason, it also reminds me a little bit of the “love games” song that Old Greg sang in The Mighty Boosh.
Might even be worth a higher mark, but frankly I had my fingers burned by the whole Sandy Thom fiasco and I’m erring on the side of caution from now on. |
