| Endearingly, ‘Sandy’ – C-Jags’ second single – is being released only on 7-inch vinyl and as a download. That’s the spirit, lads: we never cared much for the awkward stopgap of the compact disc ourselves. |

As you may have guessed, C-Jags are an up-and-coming London-based band, and what’s more they sound like it: jerky, slightly new wave-ish, guitar-based pop, a bit Franz and a bit Futureheads. It’s rather tuneful and very zeitgeist-y, but it does have us wondering whether the market for this sort of a thing isn’t reaching some kind of saturation point. Taking into account the British record-buying public’s apparently very generous boredom threshold, we conclude it probably is not.
