| Often people want to pluck embarrassing or incriminating words from the air, to suck them back, reverse time, and start again with a clean slate. How I also wish this were possible for musical notes and rhythms, and that Bodyrockers would retract this feculant single from the cesspit of musical dross that mires up the free world. |

If there was ever one universally appreciable argument against the modern West, the music charts would surely form the finest demonstration of damning capitalist excesses. 'Round And Round's is a below-the-belt ZZ Top rip-off, but for the music industry, this is read as ‘cheeky homage’ rather than plagiarism. Who can fault such lyrical genius as “Your touch, so real / I can't explain the way I feel”? Can't explain the way you feel? Good, then maybe you'll shut up about it.
The inferior quality of this musical equivalent of cut-price processed cheese is astounding. The remix filler material (as if the title track itself is anything but) bears no listening to since each remix seems to be virtually identical to the pounding overdriven beat rhythm of the title track.
Bodyrockers's debut single 'I Like The Way' reached the top five of the typically ignominious UK record charts. This single is ideal material and will probably follow suit. |
