Butta Verses and Chocolate make for a quite average, chart-compliant duo secreting a moderately thuggish hip hop.

The title track, 'Round and Round', is slightly reminiscient of that Jay-Z/Beyonce track, but with stronger rhymes - and certainly it's from the same "school of thought" within hip hop. Nice enough, headnodding goodness, and so on, but as always, rnb-hip-hop hybrids typically do the synthesis to the abandonment of their original values. In this case not fully exploiting the potential for the singer, and ending up with a pretty lax series of verses from ole Butta. The second track, '36 Bars', borrows its style heavily from Cut Chemist, and Butta Verses ends up sounding a bit less comfortable with the old school values than in 'Round and Round'.

It's not that the tracks here are bad. They're simply quite mediocre.
