| Dr Rubberfunk, I presume! The questionably-named Rubberfunk provides a Soulwax-esque ride into, umm, rubbery funk. |

What You See Is What You Get with Dr Rubberfunk. The first track, 'Riding With The Ratman' is a straight up funk endeavour, with very little to offer besides the basic, entertaining-but-forgettable groove. The good doctor does get extra points, however, for carefully selecting a rather random vocal sample that fits with rhythmic perfection to the bass-heavy riff that drives the tune. But like I said, What You See Is What You Get, so don't expect any sophistication or engaging depth.
'Theme For A Latter-Day Lothario' is a better, deftly soulful (in the most genuine sense) journey featuring vocalist Rogiers. It's surprisingly unexploitative and not nearly as self-indulgent as the usual rnb fare you get associated with artists of Rubberfunk's calibre. A gently entertaining and quite routine rhythmic shuffle provides a backdrop for Rogiers to naturally express all in under four minutes. |
