| Let’s ignore the music for a short while. I know this isn’t what you want to hear on a website such as this, but I want you to be aware of my current level of self-satisfaction. First of all, I hate pretentious PR material typified by the drivel that came with this promotional CD and secondly I love The Internet. Combine these two facets of my conceited personality and the sentence, "I repeat, ‘DR’ are made up of two London-based musicians/producers, who shall remain nameless" was guaranteed to elicit the online detective in me. |

So, exclusively to TinyVoices, I can reveal the names of the members of DR… they are Dave Maynard, a computer game music producer, and Darren Pickles (yes, I know that’s not much information but at least it’s a name).
Anyway, enough pomposity on my behalf and back to the music. ‘Still Got Time’ is the debut single from this ‘nameless’, London-based duo and a pretty soulless effort it is too. Crowds will indeed be "foaming at the mouth" not for more but for being force-fed such unimaginative techno-tosh as this. Felix Da Housecat and his ilk were successfully creating this sort of thing five years ago. The trite synths and banal lyrics are compounded upon by maybe the worst vocal sample ever, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, a-ha" will be shredding your synapses hours after listening to this song.
I shouldn’t be so hard on DR as they’ve previously proved themselves, in the sphere of breakbeat, under the moniker of Supercharger. This still doesn’t reconcile the rubbish they’ve made this time.
