Hello. I'm supposedly running this show. I'm not even remotely frightening but am prone to sudden bursts of enthusiasm and stupidity. I'm usually fairly cheerful. And even though I've now had that giant hand surgically removed from my face, I still look like a ventriloquist's dummy.
These are the artists I have the most affection for: Cable, dEUS, Elliott Smith, Mclusky, Country Teasers, Nofx, Pavement, Biffy Clyro, Nirvana, Radiohead, Modest Mouse. Make of that what you will. I'm 27. |

Butterflies of Love
- Famous Problems
(Fortuna Pop!)
|
| Been-around-a-while indie poppers The Butterflies of Love may be about as fashionable these days as getting lightning bolts shaved in the back of your head, but anyone prepared to say a cruel word about them must surely have a heart of stone. They’re just too cute.... |

Modest Mouse
-
loads of their stuff
I'm currently cramming up for All Tomorrow's Parties in May. Any excuse to listen to copious amounts of Modest Mouse is a good one. Most original indie band going, surely, even when Johnny Marr inexplicably signs up.

"Please ban music, and drive it underground, so maybe when it comes back up it makes a pleasing sound. They did it in Iran, and in Afghanistan. The woman-loving Taliban have taken this brave stand. They’re doing it for fans..."

A lovely, subtle blend of post-rock and indie with spluttery electronica.
